How can I enable usernames to accept Chinese characters? I've heard that Pre 2.7 used to have options for both usernames and display names? Is it still possible now with 2.7?

I think it is better you ask this question to the support team of vldpersonals.

I had read on the forum it should be compatible with chinese characters !

Thanks, I just did that. Hopefully the process would be easy and straightforward.

A second question, VLD supplied a Chinese language pack through their site, but the translation is not complete. Certain fields still remain in English.

Is there a better translation available somewhere else? If not, is there any documentation to help with the manual translation I need to do by myself?

Yes if you search on vldpersonals forum it is people tell you how to translate languages.
