Here is a guide how to start with vldPersonals and Enable / Disable Members Features.
and how to change the most important settings to get starting with your new site.

Audio Files
In the Control Panel
[Settings] —» under the “Options” menu—» [Member modules]—» select group [Audio]

My comments:

a few more things we need to know about email settings. 2 differents settings !

Feedback = Settings » Content modules » Feedback
(don´t forget to change your email ! on Feedback email settings)

Email = Settings » System settings » Emails
(don´t forget to change your email here  ! on Adminstrator’s email, Return email address for emails)

Email protocol = SMTP  (I recommend SMTP)
Emails format = plain (I recommend plain)
(this is a very strange thing I don´t understand with vldpersonals system and I hope they will make it better in the future ! but then you will send html newsletter you must change it to HTML but you must change it back to plain to get your activation mail for users to work again ) seems no one hade solve it and I don´t know how to fix it …)

so only change it if you need to send html newsletter to your members and change it back then you are finished ;)
